Nov. 5-Jan. 7 - Birger Sandzén Gallery Holiday Gift Show - Works by Zak Barnes, John McClanahan, and The Annual Holiday Gift Show!
Nov. 9- Lindsborg Holiday Open House - The Lindsborg Merchants invite you to kick off the holiday season on Saturday, November 9. Businesses and galleries will be decked out in full holiday style. Participate in the downtown shopping scavenger hunt and be entered to win a Grand Prize Holiday Package. Bring the entire family down for Holiday Photo Ops and festive fun! Free Gingerbread Totes will be available for children while supplies last.
Nov. 9- Starry, Starry Night at Coronado Heights - Back for the holiday season is a night sky viewing event with the Kansas Cosmosphere and National Geographic Photographer, Jim Richardson. Enjoy late night shopping and dining downtown along with a special presentation by Richardson. Grab your friends and family and hop on the shuttle to the top of Coronado Heights for spectacular starry night views.
Nov. 30- Small Business Saturday! - Lindsborg encourages you to "Shop Small" for Small Business Saturday. Holiday Photo Ops and live music!
Dec. 7- Snowflake Parade - "C'mon, get snowflaky!" It's the annual wacky winter event where you can join in the fun and be a part of the parade or just watch from the sidelines. The sillier the better! Don't just come and watch, plan to be in the parade (line up at Bethany Lutheran Church parking lot at 320 N. Main at 10:30). Parade begins at 11:00am. The fun will continue throughout the day with a visit from Santa and merchant take-n-make ornaments.
Dec. 7 - Artists' Studio Open House - Every year, on the first Saturday of December, Lindsborg artists open their studios to visitors, offering them a glimpse into their creative processes and works. This year, on December 7, 10:00am-5:00pm, visitors can explore galleries and workspaces in the Lindsborg and Marquette area while immersing themselves in art, music, and engaging conversations. Dec. 14 - Saint Lucia Festival - A favorite Swedish holiday tradition, Saint Lucia Festival is a beautiful celebration during the holiday season that includes a Swedish Bake Sale, Swedish Dancing, and Saint Lucia Services. More information is found at lindsborgswedishfolkdancers.org
Dec. 14 - Heritage Christmas - Each year, the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum hosts an evening based upon Swedish traditions with music, Santa Claus, Shepard's Story, cookie decorating, the Mayor's Christmas Kaffe (located in the Train Depot), and children's crafts. Dec. 15 - Holiday Home Tour - 5 homes in the Lindsborg area are included in the tour. Tickets can be purchased online for $35 until the day before the tour and picked up at SVAFC on the day of the tour on Dec. 15 at 1:00pm until 5:00pm. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the tour for $40 at SVAFC. Members can purchase tickets early for $20. You will be asked for your ticket at each home. Dec. 21 - Freeze Your Brass Off - An interactive concert experience featuring The Wheatland Brass and you! Bring an instrument and play along or snuggle up and enjoy the holiday music. Watch the Christmas in Lindsborg Facebook page for time and location.
Dec. 21 - Cookies with Mrs. Claus - Stop by First Bank Kansas between 12:00-2:00 to share your Christmas wishes with Mrs. Claus! Cookies, frosting, and decorations for the kids to enjoy will be available in the lobby.
Dec. 25 - Julotta - Join in a special Swedish service at the dawn of Christmas morning.
Dec. 26 - Annandag Jul - Annandag Jul means literally "another day of Christmas" an official part of the Christmas holiday in Sweden. Annandag Jul marks the the middle days between the beginning of the Christmas season and New Years.
